- Recycled paint clean-up washers
Method of Application:
Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner is used neat.
Spray Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner though the pump and paint gun, capturing the rinse solution until solution is clear.
Prior to reusing equipment, it is of utmost importance that the painter do a 5 second ‘pattern check’ spray, to ensure that all the Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner is out of the pump equipment & gunhead.
It is recommended that the rinse solution be filtered through the Purasolve Reclamation System for extended re-use of the cleaning product.
CUP GUNS AND GRAVITY FEED GUNS
Drain all paint out of the cup, set up a “gross cleaning station” with Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner (sufficient amount to submerge equipment) clean cup and head as if with thinner. You may then use a gun cleaner for final cleaning. Alternately, you may use a detail cleaning method with a separate tank or bucket with Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner. You must hand detail and rag dry the exterior of the gun head and take-up tube, and inside and outside of the cup. The Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner will not evaporate on its own. When the next charge of paint is put into the cup and sprayed, a 2 second “pattern check spray” will remove anyPurasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner from the barrel of the gun. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST.
POTS AND LINES
Drain all excess paint, and place 7-10 Litres of Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner in the pot and close. Pressurize and spray out paint into waste paint container. The painter will feel when Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner is flowing through the line. Spray Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner into SEPARATE container until lines flow clean (visual). When this is completed, open the pot and rag dry the top of the pressure lid, and the inside of the pot. The Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner will remain in the lines, and prevent any paint from building up in the lines. It is recommended to begin using Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleanerwith fresh lines when using pressure pots or airless systems. The Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner will clean the old paint from within the lines, and in extreme cases cause clogs at the gun tip from the old paint. Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner will prevent any old paint from building up in a line, forever. Save the usedPurasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner in the catch bucket and settle the paint out overnight. Pour the Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner out of the bucket, and dispose of the paint on the bottom of the bucket. This is your only waste. It is possible to further extend the life of the Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner by filtering the settled material. When the pot is recharged, let the paint push thePurasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner out into the “save” bucket, and do a pattern check when the paint begins to spray. It is important to spray out all of thePurasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner from the line before painting. This should be about 5 seconds per 50 feet of line.
AIRLESS EQUIPMENT
Wipe the take-up hose with a rag dampened with Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner. Place hose in 20 Litre bucket of Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner and start spraying paint into waste paint container. This will allow the Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner to push the paint out of the line. When the Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner reaches the spray head, begin spraying into the “saving” bucket. Do this until the spray is clean of paint(visual). When new paint is connected to the take-up hose, begin spraying the Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner into the “save” bucket until the painter feels the paint hit the tip. Spray a pattern check spray, and begin painting. Save the Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner as above. Since the Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner does not mix with the paint, it will clean even when tinted from repeat use. It is possible to clean red paint or primer with black Purasolve Paint Equipment Cleaner and charge with white paint, and see no effect on the colour of the paint sprayed.
